
Miss Kitty receive key to the City of Tamarac and Congressional Proclamation
Khadine ‘Miss Kitty’ Hylton received keys to the City of Tamarac and Congressional Proclamation recognising her achievements and dedication to promoting Caribbean culture. The presentation took place during the City of Tamarac’s first-ever Yard on the Lawn Music Festival, a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture and heritage, which, according to the organisers in a release sent to Observer Online, “drew in thousands of attendees from across Florida.”

Key to the Region Award – South Florida (2024)
Recognized alongside reggae artist Ky-Mani Marley, Miss Kitty received the Key to the Region award in South Florida. This honour celebrated her role as an outstanding ambassador for Jamaica, acknowledging her achievements in media and law.

Jamaican Media Personality of the Year (2023) – Best of Jamaica Awards
In a public poll conducted by Jamaicans.com, Miss Kitty was voted as the Jamaican Media Personality of the Year, reflecting her widespread popularity and influence in the media landscape. This prestigious honour is bestowed upon individuals or organisations who have made significant contributions globally, demonstrating exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to public service, and who are trailblazers in their field.

Governor General’s Achievement Award (2021)
Miss Kitty was honoured for her significant contributions to philanthropy, academic excellence, and nation-building. This prestigious award recognized her initiatives such as her annual blood drive and the Khadine Hylton Scholarship Fund, which supports university students facing financial challenges. The award was presented to her by His Excellency Sir Patrick Allen, Governor-General of Jamaica

UWI celebrates outstanding volunteers
Dr. Dennis Lalor, insurance industry executive; and media host and attorney-at-law Khadine “Miss Kitty” Hylton, were presented with The University of the West Indies’ (The UWI) 75th Anniversary Outstanding Volunteers Awards at the UWI Vice-Chancellor’s 75th Anniversary Reception at the UWI headquarters on July 17. Awards were also presented posthumously honouring the contributions of the late Dr Karl Massiah and Dr Marshall Hall.
